In memory of Mitch
"My daughter and her family live in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, it's a beautiful town which we visit often. On one recent visit, we arrived in the middle of a 'war', a 'Burger War'. Every restaurant, and there are many, had a poster and tent cards advertising their special burger. For every one of these burgers sold, a dollar would be going to a local children's charity. What fun! I even tried a sweet-and-sour burger at the Chinese restaurant. Apparently, the idea was borrowed from PEI and I thought to myself, why not reborrow the concept for Sudbury. I had to find a doer and made the lucky choice of Jana Schilkie. The rest is history and our own home-grown Burger Wars month begins August 1.
